What's your feeling about this long process?
This is a categorical failure and what some of us have considered since my father died is that strange things happen in the clinic and the decision confirms what I said so long ago. I think that Judge Madrid has done a very intense and diligent work. For this, we truly thank you, because you have shown that justice in our country comes when investigations are carried out in depth and responsibility. That's why I'm obvious, I do not know if the word is happy, but I'm calm because I think my father deserves to know the truth about everything he suffered at the clinic.
You are recognized as a person who pushed this reason. Personally, what do you feel?
Calm down, because I think everything my father deserved. Today is a day that really triumphed what many were originally considered inventions to obtain state resources or political power. And none of this has been proven. What moved us and moved was to find out the truth and wait for justice, because no doubt complaints come now.
At first they asked for this to be classified as murder and finally it was simply murder, are they studying for an appeal?
The safest thing is that we complain. That's a failure on 811 pages, lawyers have time to complain from here until Monday, so imagine the task we left these days.
What is your view that the verdict finds that there is no criminal liability in the actions of today's Undersecretary Luis Castillo?
As the president of DC Fuad Chahin said, Castiglio's continuity remains an ethical problem for us, because we do not think it is reasonable and we can not trust the person who is in the verdict, admitting in his statements that he is hiding the information. We think it's a more valid argument to ask the president to let us work together with improving our health, but with people who give us confidence and calm.
Eduardo Frey Ruiz Tagle said this is a triumph for everyone, but he also recognizes his work. How did you make this decision as a family? Is the family united?
Yes, there is none of my brothers who question the murder of our father and it is a fundamental matter. We are all very displaced, no doubt, with this ratification and we have pain shared very much amongst all. As Eduardo said, my father and mother resurrected us to a united family with values that we all share. And my father's memory today is obviously uniting us more than ever.
