We finally arrived in 2019. On August 6, 2018 we announced the arrival of Android Pie 9.0 devices on Pixel, so it's almost 6 months after the latest version of Android was released. The Treble project served as something, at least on the high-end, and a number of high-end devices 2018 have been updated to this version. However, like every year, some manufacturers are a bit behind.
Updates are not too important for the average user, they do not punish the sale, and even some users they prefer that firms take up a long time and offer more polished Roma. The pace of each brand is especially, and arrived at the beginning of this 2019, we think it's interesting to count. We then list Manufacturers that have not yet upgraded the latest high-end Android 9.0 Pie, despite the objects that Google wants to put with Treble.
It's the least
In addition to Samsung, the Galaxy S9 and S9 + already receive Android Pie 9.0, an update that was released on December 24th. However, its flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 still has Android Pie 9.0 inside. It is always judged that Samsung is giving priority to the range of Galaxy S, despite being on paper, inferior to the Galaxy Note.
There are currently no official dates, but we hope that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be updated on Android 9.0 Pie during January, which is enjoyed by One UI, a new South Korean firmware interface that focuses on minimalism and functionality.
LG G7 ThinQ continues with Android Oreo. An open beta process was opened in November, although it was only available in South Korea. This should be indicative that the official update should not take much longer, so the LG G7 ThinQ also needs to enjoy the latest version of Android earlier this year 2019. In the case of LG there is no news about major changes in the graphical interface, so we expect changes related to the optimization of the operating system and some other brushstrokes at the design level without major changes.
HTC U11, U11 + and U12 + also continue on Android Oreo, and no update dates. However, the company is working on update, so we expect this somewhere in the first quarter of 2019. In the case of HTC, no major changes are expected. HTC Sense usually respects Google's design line enough, so we expect optimization of Google's proposal under the embrace of the careful interface of the Taiwanese manufacturer.
ASUS Zenfone 5Z does not have Android Pie 9.0, although an update is expected for this month since January. In the case of this manufacturer, the interface is rather Asian and personalized, so what's expected for the update are minimal design changes, integrating the mandatory improvements imposed by Google with 9.0. ASUS's breakthrough in the high-end has never been stable, so we do not know its policy and philosophy of updates for 2019.
