First it was the dual camera, then the triple, the quadruple, and soon we will get to things like a mobile phone with 16 independent cameras. That's at least what LG has patented. The goal? so as to be able to fix 3D images to the point of movement of objects or to turn them into a real result.
This company believes that if there is something better than three cameras on a smartphone, it is to include nine cameras

The patent of a Korean company discovered by LetsGoDigital shows a terminal with 16 independent cameras arranged in a 4×4 network. The idea is that the terminal equipped with that camera can take 16 simultaneous photos from subtly different points of view. This would allow, for example, to change the position of a person or to turn the face to be perfect.
In landscape pictures, the 16 cameras will allow editing the scene by eliminating the elements or by combining several shots into a more spectacular. It will also enable direct recording of 3D video clips.
The patent does not specify what the software would support for such an invention, but surely would require computerized photography doses to make those modifications in real time. So far, it is not known that these 16 cameras will be made in the near future, but with terminals that already have five like the LG V40 ThinQ with 9, and cameras with up to 16 lenses like the Light L16 is just a matter of time.
