The captain of the 12th San Miguel de Carabineros police station tried to take his life with his weapon in her police unit.
According to Cooperative, the incident occurred in the official's bedroom. The Santiago military prosecutor is already investigating the incident.
Preliminary information claims that the officer attempted to take his life after receiving a notification of a sanction against her.
In addition, the woman left a letter declaring she was a victim of sexual harassment by the commission's commissioner.
The captain is assessed in the Psychiatric Unit at the El Aryan Clinic. Prosecutor Paolo Jophre is in charge of the investigations.

Regarding this fact, Karabineros reported that there were no complaints from the officer about a possible case of sexual harassment.
"Until yesterday there were no complaints from the clerk about any particular situation, but she referred to the administrative situation that affected her."
The institution also said the case is being investigated "internally and judicially".
Finally, Carabineros "confirms its commitment to more than 12,000 women who perform functions in our institution and who carry out their responsibilities and services professionally and permanently."
