Audi claims that the high power of the Tesla V3 Superchargers does not mean anything, because it only stays on time



Today, There are many car manufacturers working on rechargeable systems for high-power electric cars, which should allow for much faster loading time in the future. However, Audi, the third brand with the highest load in an electric car (Your e-tron model is capable of reaching 150 kW) claims that the high power achieved by the Tesla model does not really mean anything, since this figure is maintained for a very limited period of time, is rapidly declining.

During the e-throne presentation in North America, Matthew Mostafaei, the manager of the e-throne and associated Audi cars in the US, showed the public's interest in comparing the charging rate of several electric models. According to Mostafai, Tesla can reach power over them; however, its load rate drastically decreases during the session.

For comparison, the Audi e-tron can remain over 140 kW for a long time (until it reaches about 80% autonomy), something due to the advanced cooling technology of their batteries, as well as the wide margins of the package (despite the 95 kWh capacity, the "lower" part of the battery has a reserve of 8% and a top 4%, which explains that when the truth is autonomy the model is "only" 417 km WLTP).
