More details about the updated NXT UK deal situation has been revealed, according to a report from the Bulletin Observer Newsletter (required subscription). With the news that came out of the talent of NXT UK that received different levels of contracts and that the major stars were limited by competition beyond their brand, Dave Melzer announced that the WWE contract with various promotions in the UK allowed them to "buy and close" promotion if they wanted to.
"Part of the WWE work contracts that were originally offered and agreed that WWE will be eligible in the next few years, if you choose, to buy companies for a certain price (high six numbers in at least some cases) and then close them for not to compete "with themselves" with the idea that they will take place when they carry out regular hours in those markets. "
WWE currently has a contract to work with PROGRESS Wrestling and wrestling in Scotland in a crazy match. The two promotions were most commonly used by the top stars of NXT UK, as well as the superstar SmackDown Killian Dain. Earlier it was reported that a list of "noncompetitive" promotions was discovered, even though the IMPACT wrestling was not part of it.
The current NXT British stars, including the WWE World Champion in Britain, Pete Dunn and Tyler Bayt, were given permission to compete in Fate Wrestling, although this would not be for live and public broadcasting.
