The GTA is back in deep freeze and is expected to remain frigid for the rest of the week.
Canada issued an extremely cold warning for Toronto and the rest of the GTA on Tuesday.
The national meteorological agency said winds would be between -30 and -35 over the next few days.
The conditions are expected to improve on Friday when milder air moves.
On Wednesday, there will be sunshine, but that will not be enough to heat the temperatures. 680 NEWS meteorologist Jill Taylor said the high will be 17 C, but will feel like -30 C with the wind. The windscreen will dip further down to -32 overnight.
Cold stretching will continue on Friday morning with temperatures close to -20 C but will warm as the day progresses.
