Why Orville needs Season 3 after the Bonners season

Warning! The following are spoilers for Orville"s "The road is not taken." Read at your own risk!

Orville brought Season 2 near by an exciting two-sided parterre. After the strong season of sophomore and season finale (but really well) seasonally, it can be said that Seth McFarlane's series has done everything it can to convince Fox that it is worth restoring Season 3. For someone who is not so sure, here's what made "The Road Not Take" one of the best sci-fi episodes in recent memory.

For starters, it was incredibly ambitious Orville to go to the finals with a seasonal episode. The episode exposed viewers of a whole new world, threw that world out and somehow found a way to put everything in place within an hour without any sense haste. It goes on some damn good storytelling to retreat, although several doubted that the show's team is capable of doing so after some other episodes that are seen this season.

Oh, and he managed to get a surprising video with Halston Sage, repeating his role as Alara in the alternative time frame. It would be wonderful to learn that Alara can come back Orville in a new season, even if it is still a passing video. After all, after jumping that she and John had a history in the alternate timeframe, it would be cool to see something that happens between them along the way.

There is also an ending of the episode, which seems to have set the timeline right. With that said, everyone Orville the viewers saw that Kelly accepted Ed's bid for a second date, and it is still possible that urinating of the mind is not fully undertaken. What if Kelly still has all her memories of the future, but Dr. Fin's arrival persuaded her to return to her decision to reject Ed and change the time frame?

There is also a chance that memory deletion has worked, but things will not be reproduced exactly as they did otherwise. Orville left the door open for some change by not returning to the present after Kelly accepted the date, so we just have to speculate while the new episode does not prove otherwise, or someone in the movie or crew will spill the beans on what will be happened next.

In the moment, Orvillethe recovery status remains uncertain. While Fox did not renew the science fiction drama, she was not thrown back when Gifted was canceled not so long ago. Some have seen it as a positive sign that it will come back, but at the moment when it feels like to make the premiere of the fall, it will be incredibly optimistic.

CinemaBlend will be watching Orville, and be sure to report if the Fox series returns for Season 3. Remember to stick with the site for other entertainment news in the world of television, movies and pop culture.
