The newest millionaire of BC
Sometimes your happiness smiles.
At least this was done in the case with the newest BC billionaire.
Joseph Christmanson says he usually takes his numbers, but when he bought his Lotto Max for the entrance on December 21, 2018, he allowed lady luck to play his role instead of using the Quick Choice option.
The husband Kamlops responded to all seven numbers to win a $ 1 million prize for the Lotto Max Maxmillion.
"I checked several tickets, I could not believe it," said Christmanson. "The retailer kept the milk beside me and I noticed that I won. She was so excited about me."
Christmanson bought and checked the winning ticket at the Convenience Store of General Grant at Fortune Drive in Kamloops.
"The first thing I did was call my close friend, I thought I was kidding."
Kritmanson regularly played in Lotto Max after being released in 2009. "I play all other games, I choose my own numbers, such as my birthday and year, but not this time. Of course I'm glad I did not," he said, adding that he did not have much time to think about what he would do with all money.
In spite of his calm behavior about the victory, Christmanson has some plans for traveling in the mix.
"I would like to go to Australia and I think I will plan something for the New Year," he said, noting that the spirit of giving the season is still on him.
"I will definitely donate some of this victory and I will help those I can."
Critmman is among the 39 British Columbians who won the Max Maxillions Lotion Award in 2018.
