A fan, a developer of iconic franchises, such as Team Fortress, Portal and Half-Life, announced its first full game over five years. Artifact is a CCG that is available on the PC now, costing $ 20/16 £ / AU $ 28. To celebrate the launch of Artifact – that comes with iOS and Android in 2019, Valve also announced a new trailer that can see above.
Artefact is conceptually based on Dota 2, another title from Ventil. The game sees the players facing each other on three separate toys – similar to the Dota 2 tapes – and the victory is given to one who successfully moves towards his opponent and destroys two of the three enemy towers or defeats the Antique one Tower is destroyed.
Each player has a deck composed of 40 cards, five of which are heroes. Forty different heroes are currently available, enabling players to begin to come up with different strategies. The remaining 35 cards in the deck of the player are heroic abilities and items, divided into four different themes for color – red, green, black and blue – depending on their unique effects on the board.
The artwork was designed by Richard Garfield, who previously created the huge popularity of the Magic: The Gathering card. Full review of GameSpot on the new title is on the road, but meanwhile check out a game of Artefact beta.
