Samsung Android 9 Pie beta with one interface for Galaxy S9, Note 9 this month; official release in January

Samsung ended yesterday's two-day developer conference in San Francisco, and there were several key reports that the South Korean giant made. Samsung has released the Bixby Software Development Kit (SDK) for independent developers, and also mentioned that the digital assistant will be available in 5 additional languages. The company also presented a long-awaited folding telephone, but one of the main attractions of the event was One UI for current flagship and upcoming.

With the new One UI, Samsung focuses on scalability, where it will work on phones with a small screen, as well as on tablets. One user interface also focuses on one-handed operation, which makes it easier to navigate on telephones with large screens. The custom UI skin will be introduced as part of the Android 9 Pie update on existing and upcoming phones.

In addition to the detailed features of One UI, Samsung also mentioned that Android 9 Pie beta will soon be running this month. The update will be available for users of Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 + and Galaxy Note 9 in the US, Germany and Korea. The update will bring the latest user interface along with the system-wide dark mode.

The official version of Android 9 Pie with one interface for compatible Galaxy smartphones will start from January 2019. Traditionally, Samsung introduced mainly software improvements after the unveiling of the new Galaxy S-series smartphone, and January can only be the time when they see new flagship phones at CES 2019. Also, as per the report on Guide Tom, the new One UI will not appear on the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 + and Galaxy Note 9.
