"Realistic after the I-5": The NHL is expected to announce the expansion team in Seattle

SEATTLE (NEWS 1130) – The NHL commissioner is expected to confirm the worst-kept secret hockey on Tuesday – the league will expand to Emerald City.

"Tomorrow Gerry Bettman is expected to announce that the NHL has approved Seattle's expansion offer, one year after the start of the process" Satiar Shah with Sportsnet 650 says.

In March, when speculating that the new NHL team would come, it takes just a few minutes for fans to place deposits on 10,000 season tickets – that number has increased three times.

Shah says that things are expected to go through the approval process quite easily, noting the time needed to work on this offer.

"This will make fans here very happy because you will finally get the rival after the I-5. Two hours away you can see your Canucks hopefully win the expansion team."

The approval of Seattle's bid to become the 32nd franchise of the NHL needs support from 3/4 of the Board of Governors, who will meet this week on the island of More, G.

The rivalry is already strong between our province and state in Washington, with Prime Minister John Horgan and Governor Jay Inley in October, they took friendly couples regarding a conversation with another NHL team.

While the approval of another NHL team seems to be slam, there are still some issues that remain, including the Seattle team that will hit the ice, and whether the league will lift two of its four divisions.
