The leaks and rumors about the OnePlus 9 are starting to gather step by step, and today we have details about the series of cameras of the upcoming flagship, as well as the unofficial renders of the Pro version of the handset.
First camera: 91mobiles sources say the OnePlus 9 will come with a 48MP primary sensor (output from 12MP images), plus a 48MP ultrawide sensor (16MP on the OnePlus 8T), plus a third sensor.
There is currently no word on what that third sensor will be – it could be a monochrome sensor or a macro sensor. OnePlus 8T has main sensor, ultrawide sensor, macro sensor and depth sensor.
Sounds like a pretty big upgrade to the camera then it might be on the way. We have already seen leaked renders of the standard OnePlus 9 handset from the same source, showing the array with a triple camera located in the upper left corner around the phone package.
Speaking of leaked renderings, usually reliable OnLeaks shared pictures of what the OnePlus 9 Pro is supposed to look like. Obviously, we’re fine with a 6.55-inch curved display with a selfie camera drill hole in the upper left corner.
On the back of the phone, which is said to be made of glass, is a rear camera mount that can have up to four camera lenses, one more than the standard OnePlus 9 – which “can still be changed”, according to OnLeaks .
OnLeaks also reports that the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro will officially launch in March. That’s in line with the other predictions we’ve heard – and it’s a little earlier than you might expect, given that the OnePlus 8 came out in April.
Maybe the whole schedule of smartphones will be redirected in a month in 2021 – Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy S21 at some point in January, although the S series phones usually debut in February.
