Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of The Magazine, wrote about young Anne's fashion in the Daily Mail.
The royal expert claims that Anne "enjoyed wearing the clothes, choosing to wear very short skirts, much to her mother's touch".
According to the royal biographer, the Queen Mother hated the small shirts because she believed her knees were "so ugly".
Many royal women these days will move away from a mini skirt.
