Officials: A bleeding case confirmed in Clark County; issued a warning Los Vegas Local breaking news, headlines



LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) – South Nevada's healthcare district has confirmed a case of internationally imported measles in South Nevada and issued a warning to residents of Clark County on Thursday afternoon.

Health officials said the test confirmed the case on Monday, December 24, which made the first confirmed case of measles in Clark County since 2015. The adult patient was previously vaccinated with a history of international travel, according to SNDH.

Because of the measles that are very infectious, health authorities issued a warning to anyone who visited any of the listed sites below Monday, December 10 and Tuesday, December 18, to contact their doctor and to review their immunization status. Anyone who shows symptoms of measles should also contact his doctor before entering a health care facility in order to make appropriate arrangements to prevent the spread of the disease, according to the HMID.
