KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) – At a press conference on the night, Kansas City General Manager Brett Weach said the organization was "deeply disturbed" by Turek Hill and his fiancé, published by KCTV5 News on Thursday.
Veach noted that the team saw the video in real time with the public, adding that they were worried about Hill and Crystal Aspin, but that their main focus was on the well-being of the young child.
In the 11-minute audio tapes captured in Dubai, Hill and Espinal can be heard talking to their 3-year-old son and the broken hand he suffered, an incident that appears to Aspinal blame Hill.
The general manager also said Hill would not participate in team activities in the "foreseeable future".
He also said the organization is continuing to collect more information and will soon "make the right decision regarding Tirek Hill."
KCTV5 News posted footage one day after Johnson County District Attorney Steve Hau announced he was refusing to charge Hill or Aspinal with any crimes after investigating two reports of child abuse at Overland Park hotel in Hill.
