Three men were seriously injured early Sunday, after the shooter opened fire on a vehicle in northwestern Toronto, police say.
Shooting happened Trethewey Ride, near Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue West. The police were summoned to the area shortly after 4 am.
The wandering cells also hit a residential building nearby, according to Const. David Hopkinson, spokesman for the police service in Toronto.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found the three men, all who were suffering from wounds from prostitutes, and a vehicle with broken windows. Shell shells were found on the ground.
The three were taken to trauma centers, according to Chris Stallie, deputy commander of Toronto hospital services.
Hopkinson said the injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening.
No ages are released.
The area of Jane Street is closed as police investigate.
