The four-time European champion Ajax continues to dream of a new triumph in the Champions League after removing the second-placed favorite of the tournament. The Dutch team, who ruled Real Madrid (Madrid) in the previous round, threw Juventus into the quarter-finals after a great victory over Torino's 2: 1 binecker.

Ajax turned the Italian champion, as did Real Madrid. After 1: 1 draw in Amsterdam, guests showed that the Dutch are very dangerous.

This is the first loss to Juventus from the Dutch rival as host of the Champions League. So far, the team had only three defeats at their new Turin Stadium in 2011, in Europe.

For Ajax, the participation of the semifinals was the first since 1997.

For Juventus, the 23-year wait for the third European title continues. Even after Cristiano Ronaldo's acquisition, "bianconers" failed in their task. The Portuguese opened the score in the 28th minute. However, with the hits of Donnie van de Beck and Mathias de Licht, the Dutch turned.

The duel was a recurrence of meetings between Ajax and Juventus from 1995-96 and 1996-97. In the first case, Juventus defeated the Dutchman in the final match of the Champions League and led them to the European top. A year later, the two teams stopped in the semifinals, when the winners won with a total score of 6-2.

Only 22 years later Ajax took revenge.

In the 28th minute, the whites crowned their goal for Ronaldo. Portugal encounters a corner from Miralem Pijanic after being left uncovered. Leonardo Bonucci has pushed Ajax defender, blocking the movement of captain Matthias De Likht, who took care of Ronaldo.

The Portuguese jumped high and sent the ball inexhaustible to Andre Onana's net.

For Ronaldo it was the 126th in the Champions League and a total of 65 in the phase of direct elimination.

Guests of Ajax had a bonus and this forced Judge Clemann Turien to review the repetition. However, the Frenchman decided that there was nothing wrong with that.

The Dutch response was not delayed and only six minutes later they returned to the meeting. It was Ajax who was Donnie van de Beck, who scored for the Hakim Zee. Juventus defender Matthias De Shillio was late to retire, and the attack ended.

By the end of the first part, the battle was huge, with no other interesting moments.

After the break Paolo Diballa was replaced and the young Moselle Ken came out on the field. Juventus kept the ball for long, but Ajax showed it was very dangerous for a counterattack. In the 53rd minute, guests could score a second goal, but Wojciech Szczeci made an unbelievable rescue from the Zee with one hand.

The hosts did not take any lessons because the Juventus defense actions looked like panic. Only the good performances of Shatten, as well as the Dutch's failures, left chances for "binaries".

In the end, in the 67th minute Ajax scored a second goal that broke the hosts. Lase Shone is at the corner, and captain De Likht rises above Rugby and Alex Sandro to hit the ball 1: 2.

Everything about Juventus in the foreground was down to Ronaldo, but the Portuguese were not happy. Several of his strikes passed the door, once Oana intervened resolutely.

Instead, Ajax literally misses the defeat of the hosts. The Dutch lost much chances, and finally Cej's goal was canceled due to ambush.

In the semifinals Ajax will have an English rival after waiting for Manchester City or Tottenham. After the first game, Spurs have the advantage over their victory with 1: 0.
