President Baird Bolsonaro did not go to Congress to pass social security reform Tuesday (12). The proclamation was signed by the mayors, Rodrigo Maya (DEM-RF) and the Senate, David Alkalumbre (DEM-AP), at a solemn session. The president's official agenda includes information on meetings with ministers and an agenda with a Chinese company in the morning. Alocumbre downplayed Balsonaro's absence. "It is a sign that the federal government through the executive branch and the Brazilian parliament are working in harmony, but in independence, respecting each other's roles," the Senate president said.
