The second day of Enem tests requires skills against fatigue – education

After the first day of the National Higher Education Examination (Enem), it's time to think about mathematics, chemistry, physics and biology. On Sunday, candidates face the second and final stage of the marathon of assessments, proving their knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences. Tests are considered cumbersome due to the number of calculations to be performed. If in the first phase the exam imposes on the student the ability to read and interpret, in the second phase requires reasoning and skills dribbling fatigue before formulas and bills.

This year, the exact area will have 30 minutes of testing for a total of five hours. Thus, the average time of three minutes for each question gains 20 seconds of growth. Professor of mathematics Flix Munoz, from the Colombian and pre-university Bernoulli, in the Lourdes district, in the central-southern region of Belo Horizonte, believes that the 2018 edition will be compatible with the previous model, as there were no changes in the edicts. In mathematics, Enem also shows reading and how important it is on the exam – every question comes with text. "The first challenge is prepared to solve many problems, the second is the ability to create basic accounts (adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplying), manually and skillfully to solve during proof," says Munoz.

That is why it draws attention to starting solving the easiest problems, leaving the most difficult to the end of the test. The strategy is important due to the theory of item response (TRI), the Enem postal system, which assesses the answers and tries to identify those that were given by the kick. The most-loaded content includes proportional, proportional and three-dimensional sizes, along with percentages, statistics and spatial geometry. Those who generate the greatest difficulty, according to the teacher, are questions related to logarithms, combinatorial analysis and probability. According to him, the good news is that since 2009, statements have become clearer, avoiding fraud and double interpretations.

"Each issue is contextualized as part of a real subject that conducts dialogue with different disciplines and interprets texts, charts and tables, the interpretation is very strong, also in the mathematical test" – says teacher Bernoulli. Pay attention to details. "Alternatives always have values resulting from indirect calculations that can lead the candidate to error. So check to see if you answer the question you received before answering basic opinions," he adds.

Student Daniel Vaz, 17 years old, is confident in the field of mathematics. Consider attending a course in chemical engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), but even looking for a vacancy in biochemistry at Columbia University in New York. The preparation at this time, both for the Brazilian test and for tests in the United States, was based on simulations that suit him best. In the days before the test, the strategy is to review and perform the exercises. "The evidence for Enem and the US is predictable, and the same style of questions falls out, so if you're running past tests and simulations, little is happening. Get to know the matter and get used to the proof style," he says.

The tip for the student is collecting the light right now, and for those who are not yet accustomed to the test, plan the last few days. "Mathematics is more labor intensive by the number of calculations and the extent of time, but time is still a bit of a run for those who have difficulty in reasoning, I am writing a statement to remember what has been cited and will have an alternative for those who do not remember return the question and for who stopped halfway, this test requires special attention of time and attention to details. Relationship of information

Proof that works very much on the relationship between information. This is one of the main features of the science area, which is the subject of the National Examination of Higher Education (Enem). That is why transparency in related concepts is fundamental. "He will have an approach on this topic, which in turn has a concept, and the candidate must pay attention to him to get that information," warns Professor Raquel Malta, coordinator of the Colgio Santo Agostinho chemistry area in Contagem, in the Belo Horizonte metropolitan region.

For example, in chemical matters, he draws attention to the details of balancing chemical equations, mathematical operations involving calculations and small hints that are not always expressed. Interpret the test key. "Relate what you have seen with the information that is put in this question. You can put it in various forms, such as image, payload and graphics," says the teacher. An assessment similar to the one from previous years is also expected.

Returning patients maintain this standardization, including chemical calculations, organic chemistry with recognition of organic function and response. In this question, a reaction usually appears in which it shows what is happening and asks the candidate to repeat it with another substance similar to the one in the model. The equilibrium of the chemical equation (which will affect chemical calculations) and questions about chemical equilibrium also appear in the tests. Since the beginning of Enem, in 1998, loads have been distributed. Finally, electrochemistry also has knowledge that is to be a priority.

Raquel remembers how interesting the student has learned some of the Enem points before. "The exam does not bring the periodic table in. You do not have to completely memorize it, but I must have a noo and some basic information, such as elements of some columns," warns the coordinator.

Science about nature is an important area for the third year student colgio Las Bitencourt Coelho, 17 who wants to study medicine. In recent weeks, she says she devoted herself to previous Enem tests to learn the language of this request. In the last episode, rest is a priority. He plays with his friends once a week to vent. "You can not stop sleeping, eat and control your anxiety, I must keep my head calm now," he says. "Still, catch a cold in your stomach, because the note is too high for the course I want, but I try to remember every day that I have to be confident."
