The Ministry of Health recommends vaccinations against yellow fever before summer – the government of Brazil

To prevent yellow fever infections, the Ministry of Health recommends that people living in areas at risk of disease transmission be vaccinated before the start of summer. The season, which is focused on rainy seasons, is the period that promotes the spread of Aedes aegypti, a vector of disease in urban areas.

Be careful, especially in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, where a large part of the population has not yet been vaccinated. Dangerous, disease records mortality reaches 40%.

This year over 30 million doses have been distributed to healthcare positions. The single-dose vaccination campaign is aimed at people over nine months of age. Since the beginning of this year, 1311 cases have been confirmed.
