Of the 53 PSL members, 26 should go to a new party in Balsonaro

BRAZIL – President's departure
Air Boulsonaro
from
PSL
will demolish the party bench in the House. A projection made by GLOBE suggests that 26 of the 53 federal deputies of the acronym must accompany the president to found the Alliance for Brazil. Another 27 say they will remain in the charts for the subtitles, while two have not yet decided which direction to take. If Bolesonaro's party formation goes ahead, the tendency is for the central forces to grow even stronger in Congress. At a fraction of the cost, the government may have more difficulty dealing with the legislature.

(
After the report was released, lawmakers Luiz Lima and Daniel Fritas said they would work with Balsonaro to form the new party. Lawmakers were not located by then, and scientists and bureaucrats said they had their backing
)

Eventual migration will change the dynamics of political negotiation. The PSL, the second largest party in the House, would become the ninth largest party if the indefinite lawmakers decide to remain in the party, while the Alliance for Brazil would be in 12th position. PL, a member of the center – which includes PE, DEM, Republicans, PTB, PSD and solidarity – will rise to the second bench, behind PT. The informal bloc has more than 250 votes in the House.

Obstacles to the new party
Creating an acronym requires 491,000 support signatures distributed in nine countries. In each support, the support should correspond to 0.1% of the House vote
The fastest party creation case was the PSD. The process took 200 days. If you want to run in the 2020 elections, with the electoral law, the Alliance for Brazil needs about 140 days to be approved.
To avoid losing their mandate, lawmakers who decide to leave the PSL before the election without being expelled should demonstrate political discrimination or a significant change in the party program.
Defined largely by the outcome of the House election, the fund will remain in the PSL, even if there is a stampede of MPs. The title gets $ 8.3 million a month
The Alliance for Brazil will also have limited access to free radio and TV during elections. 90% of the space is allocated based on the latest vote in the House of Representatives

There are problems stuck in the House that are considered Balsonaro flags, such as a law to ease traffic rules. The administrative reform that the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, intends to send is another agenda with a high probability of dispersion of support. A recent defeat of the centrist government imposed by the centrist was a vote on the arms project, which was discredited. Another issue that could have the same fate is the anti-crime package by Minister Sergio Moreau.

Lawmakers who say they remain in the PSL say they will support the government's economic and customs agenda, but will not be obliged to follow the instructions of the Palalto Palace. A former leader of the government congress, Oicei Hasselman (PSL-SP), said "the allies cannot be wounded to death". Despite the cracks, Balsonaro's supporters insist the split will be irrelevant to political articulation.

– All that will be on PSL, in a way, is Balsonaro. There are one or two that are not. At our meeting with the president, he even told us that PSL should not be attacked. Maybe there is a madman like oiceoise who can vote against, but I think they will vote with the government – says Bibo Nunes (PSL-RS).

Unlike Balsonaro, PSL national president Luciano Bivar approached the centrist deputies and negotiated behind the scenes of merging with the bloc's titles. Yesterday, State Representative Janina Paschol (SP), one of the PSL's top names, said you should only consider leaving the acronym if there is a merger:

– Yes, I stay. I only leave if there is a fusion, "he said.

There are no guarantees

Balsonaro said he would attract about 30 lawmakers to his new party, but still had difficulties and no guarantees for disgruntled people to leave the PSL, which receives about $ 110m in party funds and merge a new acronym until the municipal elections. The threat from acronym leaders to fight in court over the dissenting mandate is one of the obstacles to negotiating a solution for both sides. Lawmakers cannot remain without a party or change their membership outside the circumstances provided by law without losing their mandate.

Announcing his departure from PSL on Tuesday, Balsonaro wanted to urge the allies not to attack the title. In a statement, the PSL said it had not yet formally accepted the president's request for disqualification and clarified its position to confront Balsonaro's stance, noting that "it would not give up on any harassment or breach of legality or morality".

Disciplinary proceedings opened in the PSL tend to be cut. The first to be tried are deputies Eduardo Balsonaro (SP), Bibo Nunes and Ale Silva (MG). The title ethics council is scheduled to convene a meeting on November 26. The tendency is for a few to be expelled and most subject to simple sanctions, such as warning or the temporary cessation of parliamentary activities. PSL leaders reiterated that the title would not relinquish its mandates. (Gustavo Schmidt collaborated)
