The most widespread and popular video player was no longer available for smartphones by the Chinese manufacturer. But the recent update from Huawei put an end to this absence.
The reason for the disappearance of the Huawei smartphone reader is explained by the problem of managing applications in the background. According to VLC, Huawei automatically activated the function of its devices that gave users greater autonomy. But this feature caused defects on the player, which disrupted the VLC image.
In 2018, VideoLan, in charge of the development of VLC, decided to put Huawei on the blacklist: "If an application allows playback of audio files, it is normally available in the background. Blocking the normal functioning of Android is totally abnormal. In this case, remove all applications and do not switch on the phone, save even more battery!", can be read in a tweet issued by the publisher.
But for a while, the reader returns, thanks to the changes made by Huawei. The publisher and publisher did not publish the news at the time, so a few months later we found out the end of this block, thanks to the AndroidPolice site, which is questioned by VLC. According to the new tweet, released on April 15 by VideoLan, VLC is available "for months"on Huawei smartphones.
Good news for brand users, as well as for VideoLan, which recently announced that it has exceeded 3 billion downloads on all platforms.
