On a joint initiative of CCS on Onet, the League Against Cancer, ADECA and in partnership with Krill, a new day of awareness and mobilization against colorectal cancer is scheduled this Thursday, March 14, at 10:00 am at 5 pm, at Crete.
The day of Thursday, March 14, will be dedicated to mobilization, prevention and awareness. The actions oh important every day, on a theme that remains taboo: colorectal cancer.
" The goal of this day is that we want as many people as possible to ask and participate in the screening "Said Mayor Jean-Philippe Kerloslan, accompanied by his two assistants, Dominique Beck and Monique Buerba.
" Colorectal cancer is not just for men. Each year 48,000 new cases of colorectal cancer have been detected, 55% are men, 45% are women. It should be known that of the 98,000 Aveyronnais involved in this screening, only 30% of them will participate. It is even more dangerous when we know that this cancer, when taken in time, can be cured in 9 out of 10 cases "ADECA's doctor, Caléin Nzietchueng-Pellicier, says.
"If we suppress smoking, we eliminate 70% of cancer"
Especially since 2015, a new test has been set up, done at home, and is much more efficient, powerful and sensitive than the previous one. Results are obtained within 8 to 10 days.
This day will allow you to participate in various workshops in a fun way: nutrition, sports, information, exercise balance test, quiz, etc.
According to various studies, good nutrition and practice of physical activity would allow to reduce the risks. Twenty to thirty minutes of sport per day contribute to prevention. You also have to choose your food, increase the plant and reduce the animal.
"If we eliminate smoking, we eliminate 70 percent of cancer," said Jean-Louis Costa of the Cancer League.
Workshops are open to all and free on Crest
CCAS also sets three other appointments: March 21, eat chests and balance; March 28, eat balanced at a low price; on April 4th, prepare a balanced snack and exchange screening.
These three meetings will be led by a doctor and Evelyn Souley, a nutritionist from 14 to 16 in the CCAS offices. Registration on 05 65 77 22 88, limited places.
