England and Australia will land on the special day of the second day of the Lord's Test. Two teams will wear special T-shirts and hats to raise awareness of lung cancer. Willie has a red hat, a red number on the back of the shirt and a special logo on the shirt – the Ruth Strauss Foundation. Payne Reuters will don a special T-shirt and hat to support the charity. Viewers have been told, and as much as possible, to support the campaign, in red dresses, hats on the field. Former England captain Andrew Strauss founded the Ruth Strauss Foundation. Strauss's wife, Ruth, died of lung cancer last year. Strauss raises funds to raise awareness of the disease and find effective prevention through research. Another former England captain, Michael Wogan, has already said on Twitter that he will help fund the Ruth Strauss Foundation.
Australia, which went on to win the first Ashes Test series against England, won 3-0. Aussie batsman Steve Smith was sentenced to one year in Edbaston for one year ban on ball intrusion in the wake of the test.
