After six victories in the Premier League, Liverpool had to settle for Leicester City 1-1 (1-1). Thus, missed the team of Jurgen Klop to increase the championship lead to seven points. Manchester City's second-placed Manchester City lost on Tuesday a surprising 1: 2 in Newcastle United. The match gave Liverpool an advantage of five points over the citizens.
Reds began perfectly in the match against Leicester. After less than two minutes, Sadio Mané hit the long shot with a well-aimed low kick to make it 1-0. Shortly thereafter, Liverpool had the opportunity to continue the lead, but Roberto Firmino failed with a shot from Leicester goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel (6th minute).
