You will not believe, but I just traveled with a post and a van from DHL. I had to shoot for you right now. This fits in uncertainty, as Österreichische Post AG in the future will deliver parcels from the Deutsche Post DHL Group (DHL) to Austria. After rumors that DHL wants to withdraw from Austria, it's good news. And, of course, it's not a bad deal for the post office (read here), because it also takes over the DHL distribution centers in Vienna, Leasing, Graz and Enns (to be completed) and ten depots. DHL recently delivered 27.6 million parcels in Austria, the post office has 108 million parcels.
A small negative is that the post office in Austria is not an exclusive partner of DHL. In the fight with Amazon, however, this partnership still offers a lot of strength. I am curious if the Competition Authority gives the green light.
