A forest fire that raged near homes in Hérorup, south of Bunbury, is under control and no longer poses a threat to life and property.
An emergency warning was issued in the northern part of Gelorup on Thursday.
Firefighters regretted the fire until 12.30 pm, and the level of alert was mitigated by advice from forest fires.
The Fire and Emergency Department says there is a lot of smoke in the area and drivers are advised to turn their headlights into a drive with caution.
The second forest fire that ignited in the western part of Hérorup is also contained.
The fire started near Markets just before 10 am.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
