The University of Graz, Austria, has conducted an investigation where, for several factors, it has been shown that carnivores can be healthier than vegetarians because vegetarians are more likely to suffer from diseases than those who follow a diet that includes meat.
After studying three main areas: cancer risk, allergies and the risk of disease disorder or mental illness, he concluded that there is a link between good health and a diet that includes consumption of meat and other products of animal origin.
In this way, vegetarians reflect an increase in the risk of developing some kind of cancer and suffering heart attacks, as well as suffering from mental illness.
Another factor that discovered the research is that the vegetarian diet is associated with a lower body mass index (BMI) and less frequent alcohol use. The total number of people analyzed was a thousand 320: 330 vegetarians, 330 with carnivorous foods rich in fruits and vegetables, 330 with meatless foods less meat-rich, and 330 with meat-fed diet rich in meat.
In this way, the hypothesis is reinforced that the best for health and well-being in general is to have a balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, cereals, healthy fats and animal proteins without the misuse of processed products, as well as exercise in the usual way
It is worth mentioning that in recent years it has become more common to find people who, whether for health reasons or for supporting the environment and animals, have decided to follow a vegetarian diet, however, the study says that those who chose the path of vegetables for maintaining a healthier lifestyle can be wrong.
