The first brand that bet on the "ecological" car was Toyota with the Prius back in 2009. For this group, Volkswagen joined Touareg and Cayenne.
The choice of carrying a vehicle that combines an internal combustion engine with an electric one, instead of a 100% electric one, was not random, Argentina was not ready. After almost ten years of this event, are you ready now?
Unlike the developed countries, Argentina has long been not giving incentives for green cars, leaving their positioning on the market practically out of the game and that it overturned the intentions of several brands to bring an exponent.
The first change came in 2017 when the official bulletin provided a reduction in the additional tariff -35% may go up to 5% or be exempted by category, at least temporarily.
The measure was taken as it was understood that the automotive industry in the world is implementing replacement of engines based on the basic need to be removed in part: negative impact on the environment caused by the emission of gases resulting from the use of internal combustion engines – mainly Otto cycle engines and diesel engines -.
And that said change is manifested by the installation of hybrid engines, electric and fuel cells that use hydrogen.
The same year, the Ministry of Production participated in the presentation of the technology that will carry YPF electric chargers. In fact, the oil company announced it will install 220 electric pylon columns at 110 gas stations. The devices will be fast charging – about 5-30 minutes for 90% of the battery.
Shortly thereafter, YPF installed the first ACA electric cars in the autonomous city of Buenos Aires from the neighborhood of Palermo, and promised another 20 at eight stations before the end of the year.
Although several loaders have already been installed, none of them is working, because according to some media, the problem would be that YPF wants to charge for energy, for which the government must approve this action, a measure that opposes electric companies.
In return, it shows serious defects to meet high energy requirements, such as in summer, where cuts are cut.
Therefore, there is currently only one public charger, and you can do it because it's free. This is the one delivered a few days ago by Axion, which became the first oil company in Argentina to offer electricity for electric cars, after sealing an alliance with Enel X to provide electric chargers at their service stations.
In this local scenario, there are only two models that can complement their batteries. The first is the Renault Kangoo ZE, which is the only 100 percent electric model sold in the country with a value of 1.201,200 pesos.
The other is a plug-in hybrid, Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e – from the EC family of the German brand- It costs $ 88,500. But for some time, the Chinese march Bike is in the process of homologation of the EX 260, and in January Nissan will open its predecessor to Leaf, which will be the first car – Kangoo's "Utilitarian" – electric.
In order to compare the situation, in Spain it is estimated that there are about 25,000 vehicles in circulation, and it is estimated that by 2030 this figure will increase to 2.4 million and reach 24 million in 2050. But Jordi Sevilla, the president of the Red Eelectic of Spain (REE), was confident and assured that currently the hours for which the vehicles are filled would not matter because the network has the required capacity.
Argentina is lagging behind in environmental issues, so the markets opt for hybrid mechanics; however, Lexus has brought more models with this technology, but at least to change the course, now it is only necessary to move the change, which is slow.
