November patent: sales dropped by 45.9%, and Toyota Hilux was again the best-selling vehicle



LHowever, the decline in patenting was felt even more in November: according to statistics provided by the Association of Automobile Dealers of Argentina (ACARA), in the eleventh month of the year 39,565 units were registered, and 18,5% less than in October – when 48,571 units were patented – and more alarmingly – 45.9% less than in November 2017, when 73,145 vehicles were registered.

In this way, the annual balance sheet continues to show a negative trend, with sales of 744,571 units between January and November, a decrease of 9.2% compared to the same period last year, when 853.413 vehicles were patented.

Among the best-selling Chevrolet Onix (1,297 units), followed by Toyota Etios (1,279) and Chevrolet Prisma (1,240).

On the other hand, there is no change in communal services, as Toyota Hilux has very much consolidated to a range of 1,690 units (leader even in the general classification), accompanied by Ford Ranger (922) and Volkswagen Amarok (706).

Among the brands, Renault went before the monthly ranking, with 5,799 units, accompanied by Volkswagen (5,608) and Toyota (5,456).

In this regard, Dante Alvarez, President of AKARA, analyzes: "As expected, this year, which was very complex and changing, it will bring a close level of patent of 800,000 units. The expectations are now set in the activity that will begin in 2019."
