"The defendant traveled to Hong Kong after her longtime friend, Mr. Faizal Jamal, asked her to help him buy goods," the plea agreement said.
The goods they expected to buy consisted of "PlayStations, gaming consoles, iPhones, laptops, iPads, notebooks, desktops, mobile phones, jewelry, clothes and accessories."
"[Jamal] paid for the return of the ticket and said that everything will take care, including accommodation and food after her arrival, "the agreement is read.
"The defendant was advised only after her arrest and release from custody by Mr. Jamal that the money in her possession belonged to a businessman called Mr. Ravichandren Dhurgasamy."
Her case was finally concluded with her contracting with the state.
She was sentenced to a fine of 200,000 or 24 months in prison. She was subsequently sentenced to 24 months suspended for three years, meaning she was expected to pay the fine or two years. She paid the fine.
