"Land Rover" confirmed that the two-door SU Coupe for a limited period will not be released into production
That should have been the top Range Rover. The fastest version of the Land Rover is the most luxurious, coolest and most expensive. But that was not to be.
Last year, the Range Rover SV Coupe with a two-door was discovered and gave the green light to the production of 999, but now Land Rover has confirmed that the vehicle has been canceled.
In a statement, the company said:
"We took the tough decision to inform our customers that the Range Rover SV Coupé will not start production," said Ryan. "Instead, Land Rover focuses its resources and investments on the next-generation world-class products."
JLR will try to reduce costs in the amount of 2.5 billion pounds over the next 18 months, part of which will include losses of 4,500 jobs. It seems that the SV Coupe is another victim of the scheme.
The £ 240,000 SV Coupe would not have been the most straightforward thing to do. Everyone was to be built manually at the JLR Special Vehicle Center in Warwickshire, and little of the body was shared with the regular Range Rover – only the bonnet and the back door were transferred.
The plan was to be redirected to the V8 by the 5.5-liter V8 under the hood, which means it will still make 0-62 km / h in five seconds dead and climb to 165 kilometers per hour, despite the massive weight.
We have no doubt that this would be a wonderful thing on many levels, so his death is a great shame.
