NASA's Satellite Satellit Observatory (TESS) satellite has discovered its first planet-sized planet, Space.com reports. The planet, dubbed HD 21749c, orbits a star around 53 light-years from Earth, researchers report this week Astrophysical Letters Letters. The HD 21749c stone circles the star in a close, ending its entire orbit every 7.8 Earth days, which astronomers suggest is probably too hot to sustain life. TESS also discovered another planet that orbits the same star that astronomers call "sub-Neptune" for its closest analogue in its own solar system.
