The Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense (EBAD) was presented with the prestigious Rigel Award on Tuesday, April 9you from "Lockheed Martin" and NASA "Orion"you Space Symposium in Colorado Springs.
NASA Orion is a space exploration spacecraft that will surely take people in deep space, including the Moon and Mars.
Each year, the Orion Program Office invites nominations from program staff witnessing the great things that their small business partners achieve, and Rigel is awarded to the one who performs above and beyond his contractual obligations. Given the scale and diversity of the Orion program, EBAD is honored to be recognized for their outstanding contribution to the Orion program and as an outstanding partner to Lockheed Martin.
We are both humiliated and very grateful to receive such a prestigious award, says Brendan Walsh, president of the Ensign-Bickford Industries Space & Defense Group. We understand the importance of the Orion program in our country, and the Ebad team is dedicated to securing Lockheed Martin with critical components that support Orion's success.
Rigel Starr is a blue superangan star that shines with a brightness of approximately 85,000 times that of the Sun, and can be found in the Orion constellation from 700 to 900 light-years. The luminous solar qualities are distinguished among other stars, which is an acceptable description for the recipients of the Rigel prizes.
